The American Electronic Cigarette Association will disband, but its president will continue to promote electronic cigarettes!

In October 2023, the American Vaping Association (AVA) announced it was disbanding.

The American Vaping Association (AVA) was founded in 2014 with the goal of clearing up misunderstandings about e-cigarettes. The association has been working to legalize e-cigarettes by providing information to the media from the perspective of e-cigarette smokers.

Specific activities undertaken by Gregory Conley, president of the American Vaping Association (AVA), include the following:

  1. Interviewed by major online media

  2. He had a radio debate with anti-vaping activist Stanton Glantz.

  3. Organized protests against e-cigarette smokers and companies regulating e-cigarettes

  4. He has spoken in dozens of state legislatures against bills restricting e-cigarettes.

  5. In 2019, he attended a White House hearing where he explained to President Donald Trump that flavored nicotine vapes are important for people trying to quit smoking and do not cause EVALI lung injury .

President Gregory Conley plans to continue his work as the Legislative and External Affairs Director of the American Vaping Manufacturers Association (AVM) . Regarding the dissolution, the president said, "The e-cigarette, paper cigarette, and nicotine industries as a whole are suffering from complex regulations and activities that are based on misunderstandings. The American Vaping Manufacturers Association (AVM) will continue to work to promote e-cigarettes to protect the health of smokers ."
